Meet the Team
Bart Lipscomb
Senior Pastor
Bart grew up in south Alabama and was brought to saving faith at a young age, for which he is eternally grateful. During his time at Auburn University, the Lord laid on his heart a call to pastoral ministry. Upon graduation, he attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary before serving as an associate pastor at Redemption Hill in Georgetown and has been the lead pastor here at Christ Church since 2021.
He and his wife, Jessica, have three children and one very happy dog. They enjoy Astros baseball, good reads and time with their church family.
Stephen Robinson
Deacon
Initially from New Jersey, he completed college at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Chemistry and moved to Los Angeles where he enrolled in a combined M.D. – Ph.D. program at UCLA. As a certified pediatrician since 1975 he worked in emergency medicine in Los Angeles. He completed an MPH at UCLA which allowed him to work with international health agencies developing programs while working in Africa and Indonesia for 15 years. He became a Christian in 1992 while living in The Moluccas in western Indonesia.
Dr. Robinson has lived in the Conroe area for the past 21 years recently semi-retiring from a solo private pediatric practice in 2017. Stephen and his wife, Janet, have three grown children and five grandchildren.
Josh Dow
Deacon
Josh owns a small manufacturing company here in Conroe. He's a former US Marine, an alumnus of the US Naval Academy ('02), The University of Arizona ('14), and Lone Star College ('22). He is married to Amber and they have two young boys. He serves the church in the areas of finance, administration, and facilities, and when necessary has been known to dig the occasional ditch.
Jesse Fenn
Worship Leader
Jesse leads the music team as a drummer. He began worship leading as part of the team that planted Sovereign Grace Church, Sydney Australia in 2010, as a newly-wed to his Texan wife, Liz. In 2018 they immigrated to Texas and joined Redemption Hill, Georgetown and relocated to Conroe in 2021 to join Christ Church, the church Liz attended as a teenager.
Guillermo Rayo
Deacon/Youth Leader
Guillermo owns a small tech company and enjoys diving into bleeding technology. He is married to Emma and together they're raising three beautiful daughters. He serves the church in leading the youth and in all areas that require tech.
